| Outfitting
of newly built Guest Flat and Roof Garden |
Although
this new flat is small, it has all the charm and most of the sophisticated
convenience of
a larger home. The comfortable front room harmoniously balances
the sitting area, dining table and kitchen.
The small kitchen area boasts a hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, waste
disposal and boiling water tap.
The antique apothecary drawers provide plenty of storage space -
and with the drawer labels painted with
chalkboard paint, nothing gets lost. The large, classical bedroom
is a sumptuous retreat. A wall of mirrored
closets hides a generous amount of storage. The Regency writing
desk and gilt settee add to the pleasures of
this beautiful room. The bathroom is a gorgeous surprise with its
tile mural of Blenheim Palace, the
large Jacuzzi bath and the elegant encaustic tiling.

The roof
garden was modelled after a Regency garden. Stone slabs form the
walkway from the arched
entry around the sunken herb garden to the large hardwood bench.
Box hedges line the perimeter of the garden.
From the garden seat there is a marvellous, unobstructed view across
a scenic valley. |
